Common questions

Where is my data stored?

On your device, and in your own private iCloud account if iCloud is on. It never passes through any server of ours, because there isn't one. See the privacy policy.

I got a new phone. How do I move my records?

Sign in to the same Apple Account with iCloud enabled and install GearGraph. Your garage syncs down on its own. It can take a minute or two on first launch — if the garage looks empty at first, give it a moment before worrying.

I paid before and reinstalled. How do I get it back?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchase. As long as you are signed in to the same Apple Account that bought it, the unlock comes back. It is a one-time purchase, so you never pay twice.

What counts toward the 10 free events?

Service entries and fuel fill-ups, across every vehicle. A single visit that covered several jobs counts once, however many line items it has.

Why does my fuel economy show fewer tanks than I logged?

Economy can only be measured between two full tanks. If a fill-up is marked partial, or you told GearGraph you missed logging one, that stretch is left out rather than reported wrong. That is deliberate — an average built on a gap is worse than no average.

Can I get my data out?

Always. Open a vehicle, choose Export Records, and share a PDF report or a CSV. This works whether or not you have purchased anything.
